1991年愛知県生まれ。学生時代自主映画制作をはじめた流れで宅録に手を出す。複数の自主制作音源を制作した後は、インディレーベルKAKUBARHYTHMより1st album「Sway (2017)」、2nd album 「Ampersands (2020)」を発表。2021年Faye Websterの2nd’’I Know I’m Funny Haha’’にボーカル、作詞で参加。またCornelius『変わる消える(feat. mei ehara)』にもボーカルで参加している。他にも参加楽曲多数。最新作は2022年冬にリリースした7’single’’ゲームオーバー/ピクチャー’’。
音楽活動の他、文藝誌「園」を主宰・執筆、インタビュープロジェクト「DONCAMATIQ」の編集、ミュージシャンの写真撮影やデザイン、映像作品の美術監督等の制作活動も行う。

mei ehara is a singer songwriter, born in 1991 and based in Tokyo, Japan. While in school, she started independent filmmaking and eventually turned her hand to home recording.
Following several self released recordings, she released her first full-length album “Sway” (2017) and the second album “Ampersands” (2020), both on renowned indie label KAKUBARHYTHM. Her latest release is the two song
7 inch “Game Over / Picture,” which came out in November 2022.
She co wrote the lyrics and provided vocals for Faye Webster’s second album “I Know I’m Funny Haha” in 202 l and provided vocals for Cornelius’ single’Change and Vanish (feat. mei ehara)’in 2022. She has also guested on many recordings by other musicians over the years.
Apart from music, she has engaged in a wide variety of activities, from editing and writing for the literary magazine Sono and editing the interview project DONCAMATIQ, to taking photos of musicians, graphic design and art direction for visual works.
